FEATURED This Week: Anydoll (Finland) "Electruc Heart" LP , Janani (USA) "Three-Step System" EP , Electric Ruin (s/t) EP, King Swan (S/T) EP (Both From Canada) Almost the Ides of March & e.V. is back - along with her voice!. ;) New music for you, from all over the place. Faroese and Greek doom, Israeli 'oriental' metal, Russian goth rock, Swedish-Dutch darkwave, some very fine Finnish, American, and Canadian stuff of various genres. As per usual, mostly metal, hard rock and electro, but hour 5 features some seriously great vocal and writing talent from Toronto that sits solidly outside, genre-wise, what usually gets played here. Hour 3 Feature: Hard rock cut with a jazzy feel from Florida alt-rock songstress, Janani. on her debut EP "Three-Step System"; Finnish electropop rockers Anydoll's LP "Electric Heart", available for free download on their website. After that some brand new rock from One Pretty Minute and Saints Of Rebellion In Hour 4: The Reverbation Band of the Week is Madrone, altrock from Roanoke Virginia, USA. This week's Helsinki Spotlight Artists are Siberian Jay, and Indi Loveless.. You can see their videos here. , to the left. Tyr's magnificent "The Lay Of Our Love" has a newish but not-so magnificent vid featuring the ugliest damned Viking I have ever seen, and a ginormous and pissed off statue of Skuld, one of the Norns. Why they didn't forgo the bruiser and just have Heri or Gunnar or Terji be the Viking is beyond me. :-) Hour 4 & 5: On with the heavy! Stoner metal supreme from Ottawa's own Electric Ruin and King Swan, both with self-totled EP's out on Bandcamp. and both finalists in the Carleton U Battle of The Bands, co-sponsored by CKCU-FM! Plus single silliness from Joel Martin (Toronto). And we end it all on a sweet, soulful note from Kendal Thompson, also from Toronto..
